HIGH QUALITY VECTOR ARTWORK IS REQUIRED FOR PRINTING

At Coastal Promotions, we prioritize providing top-notch decorating services. The use of vector artwork is essential to achieve the best possible results. Here's why vector artwork is crucial for printing on apparel and promotional products.

The vector copy of your logo will be in the original suite of files you received from the graphic designer who created your logo/artwork.

Common file types that contain vector artwork include: .ai, .eps, .svg, .cdr or .pdf

You won’t be able to open it without a graphics program on your computer (unless it is in a.pdf file).

If you are unsure, please send us your artwork files and we will find it for you!

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot save a non-vector file into a vector file by changing the file type or name of the file.

Scalability: Vector artwork is composed of mathematical equations, allowing it to be scaled up or down without any loss of quality. This means your design will look crisp and clear, regardless of the size at which it's printed. Vector artwork ensures that your logo, illustrations, or custom designs appear consistently sharp and professional on various products.

Precise Detailing: Vector artwork retains its sharpness and clarity, even with intricate details. The mathematical precision of vector graphics ensures that every element of your design is accurately reproduced, ensuring stunning and precise prints. Whether it's fine lines, text, or complex shapes, vector artwork preserves the integrity of your design throughout the printing process.

Print Compatibility: Vector artwork is compatible with different printing techniques and methods, including screen printing, embroidery, and heat transfers. This versatility ensures that your artwork can be seamlessly applied to a wide range of apparel and promotional products, maintaining its quality and visual impact.

DECORATION IS (ONLY) AVAILABLE ON PRODUCTS SUPPLIED BY COASTAL PROMOTIONS

Silkscreen Print:

The direct screen printing process involves placing the material under a mesh screen. By applying even pressure with a squeegee on the screen, your logo is imprinted onto the material surface. The screen printing process ensures your imprint looks its best on a wide variety of fabrics. This is the most common method of decoration.

EMBROIDERY:

This traditional method of decorating material with needle and thread is a popular favorite year after year. It’s an excellent way to add value to your next promotion.

SUBLIMATION:

Hard goods: Decorate select hardgoods from edge to edge with full vibrant colors. Heat is used to infuse the ink in the fabric – rather than being applied on top – making it less prone to fading.

Apparel: Available on select cotton-poly fabrics, this method is most vivid on white materials, although you can create a muted, tonal look on any color garment. Because the artwork is infused to the fabric, you get a comfortable, breathable garment.

Digital Direct-To-Garment:

An alternative to screen printing for tees, hoodies and other cotton-fleece styles, our digital-printing technology produces crisp, vibrant colors, photo-realistic images and a softer, more natural feel.

Laser Engraving/ Deep Etch:

Laser engraving gives your logo a clean, distinguished appearance by precisely etching the artwork into the material’s surface.

Deboss:

The process of debossing is offered on most of our leather, koskin, textura, EVA, and simulated leather lines only. A die is created of your logo and then pressed into the material creating an ‘impression’ of the logo. Debossing provides a subtle, yet higher perceived value on many products.

Pad Printing

Pad Printing is extremely effective on rounded, uneven, or slanted product shapes. It is also perfect for small and intricate logos. A silicone pad is used to transfer the ink onto the product. The pad can hit various levels on a product at one time. Ink colour availability is restricted due to the limited ability to mix inks utilized in this process. Pad printing is utilized on products such as: plastics, pens, aluminum, tins, rubber, cardboard gift boxes, metal, vinyl, leather and paper pad banners

Transfer Print

A transfer is created in a very similar method to screen printing, however, the ink is applied to a sheet of transfer paper instead of directly onto the material. The transfer is then pressed onto the product using a combination of heat and pressure. This method allows for unlimited colour separations that always require an underlay. Many products utilize this process as it assists in decorating products with foam insulation or hard to screen print locations.
